PUBLISHING INTERN
Alexander Street Press is
an innovative, award-winning publisher of online collections
in the humanities, music, performing arts, and social
sciences. We are looking for a summer intern to work 20-30
hours per week. As a publishing intern, you will work
primarily on marketing and publicity projects, with
occasional assignments to come from our editorial team. The
ideal candidate will be a student of the liberal arts (at
either the undergraduate or graduate level) or a student of
library and information sciences with an interest in
scholarly publishing. Duties will include online research,
assistance with conference attendance tasks, assistance with
publicity and online promotion efforts, and outreach to
academics. We are located in Alexandria, VA. Please note
that we are not located on the metro line, though you can
take a bus from either the King or Braddock Road metro
station to our offices. Pay will be $10 per hour. Start and
end dates are flexible, as are the days and hours that you
work. If you are interested, please send a cover letter and
resume to Meg Keller, Director of Marketing, at
