Alexander Street and BroadwayHD Bring Broadway to Classrooms

January 25, 2017

Alexandria, VA – Today Alexander Street announced that its partnership with online theater streaming service, BroadwayHD, is now live, bringing select BroadwayHD content to universities, faculty, and public libraries via Alexander Street’s Patron-Driven Acquisition (PDA) platform and single-title-streaming direct subscriptions. This unique partnership includes 10 BroadwayHD titles including Roundabout Theatre Company’s She Loves Me, The Woodsman, and Romeo and Juliet. Additional titles will rollout on an ongoing basis.

“It has been our ongoing mission to promote and preserve live theatre and to extend the reach of Broadway and Broadway-caliber shows. We’ve brought BroadwayHD content to many living rooms around the globe since our launch in 2015, so it only made sense to bring it to classrooms next. Theatre education is an important part of promoting and preserving,” said Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, co-founders of BroadwayHD.
