Senior Vice President
Eileen has worked with academic libraries since 1980. She was one of the founders of Alexander Street, after serving as Vice President of Sales at Chadwyck-Healey, Inc. She has built sales and marketing teams, has designed and executed consortium, regional, and national acquisition offers around the world, and continues to help create Alexander Street’s online collections. Her commitment to creative pricing models and universal access has made it possible for users at all library types to access previously out-of-reach content. Eileen holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.Ed. from Antioch University. Before entering Libraryland in 1980, she founded and ran an early-childhood schoolroom that became a model training space for universities and school districts in the Vermont–New Hampshire Upper Valley region, and she was consultant or adjunct faculty member for various programs associated with Head Start, Goddard College, University of New Hampshire, and Dartmouth College. She represents Alexander Street at all key library conferences and serves on the advisory board of the Center for Academic Innovation at Antioch University of New England.
General Manager, Asia-Pacific
Julie Stevens has a long and successful involvement in the electronic publishing industry. She began her career in Melbourne before moving to Sydney, then London. After returning to Australia she took on a management role with a major electronic publishing company, building the business from a small one-person operation to one of the most important players in the region. She then moved to Queensland to accept the challenge of launching Alexander Street Press in Australia and New Zealand. She now oversees all the company’s sales outside the Americas and is responsible for a highly qualified and motivated team.
Julie’s time away from work is spent mainly with her three school-aged children and her husband, who has decided to return to study just so he can use ASP products and answer confidently when people ask what Julie does for a living.
