The Business Analyst – Sales and Marketing Operations leads, develops and documents business requirements that assist others in the development of internally-focused business solutions and provides for intermediate business analysis functions including:

  • trend analysis
  • specific account patterns
  • forecasting and revenue estimation
  • recommendations where sales and marketing can focus  to drive revenue growth

This role will support interdepartmental activities using Salesforce as a common platform. As a critical piece of business function and operation, the Sales and Marketing teams rely on nimble support relative to data management and extraction in Salesforce.

Essential Job Requirements and Skills

  • Assists management in planning, resource allocation, and scheduling for various projects and initiatives.
  • Ensures the development of quality documentation in support of sales operations, account management programs, territory planning, and marketing campaign planning.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills in working with various departments to gather/share critical information.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data.
  • Ability to enter and extract data/information from our CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, juggling multiple priorities and thriving in a flexible environment.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and deliver accurate results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salesforce Responsibilities

  • Reporting Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Correcting data inputs after any change/adjustments
  • Reports and Dashboards
  • Desktop User Troubleshooting
  • Third-party software integration (i.e. Pardot)
  • User Management

Data Analysis Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Pivot tables, lookups, and formulae.
  • Summary charts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Data integrity and normalization.
  • Creation of Excel-based templates, toolkits and reference tools for internal use.
  • Creation of PowerPoint-based templates linked to summary charts for external distribution.

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science required.
  • 3-5 years of data analysis or project management experience.
  • Familiarity with database management and queries - experience with SQL queries and related tools a plus
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience specific to Salesforce.com including configuration and custom development preferred.
