• A male patient, 40s, was brought to the hospital after a domestic incident resulted in his being physically and sexually assaulted by his same sex partner.  During the same dispute, he was shot in the arm by his husband.  
• A female patient, 20s, has come to the emergency room the day after she was sexually assaulted and strangled by a male “friend” who she had been dating.  She blacked out and when she woke up, he was gone.   Her voice is raspy, and she complains of pain in her throat.
