It currently provides streaming access to over 900,000 tracks, including over 45,000 unique recordings that are exclusively available through Alexander Street Press, and is growing monthly as new recordings are added.

African American Music Reference

African American Music Reference offers the first comprehensive coverage of blues, jazz, spirituals, civil rights songs, slave songs, minstrelsy, rhythm and blues, gospel, and other forms of black American musical expression—and it is the only electronic access to this information.
