The Media Hosting Service from Alexander Street is a simple way to distribute your institutions' content across campus. Digitize your lecture-captures, performances, football games, faculty experiments, other licensed (via Digital Site License) video content, and more. Access coincides directly with your Academic Video Online subscription.

Overview
- Your uploaded content will be available via the varied authentication methods our platform provides for on and off-campus viewing including IP and proxy authentication.
- This access provides the ability to upload an unlimited number of multimedia files from PDFs to audio to video together seamlessly on a single platform. 12 of the most common audio, text and video formats are accepted, notably mp4 (video), mp3 (audio), and PDF (text). There is a 4GB file size limit.
Newest Features:
- Upload directly through the admin portal (adminportal.alexanderstreet.com). A specific landing page will be provided where your uploaded content and metadata can be accessed.
- The new upload page allows for uploading the media file and the inputting of metadata fields, which will determine how the content displays.
- Gain access to a landing page on search.alexanderstreet.com to browse all individual titles available to your institution that aren’t included in traditional collections, such as titles from the Media Hosting Service, EBA, DDA, single title videos, titles dropped from collections that have via perpetual rights, etc.
