Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works is a landmark new online database that contains more than 2,000 transcripts and audio files of actual therapy sessions, along with almost 40,000 pages of first-person accounts, and 25,000 pages of major reference works. Contents include diaries, letters, autobiographies, oral histories and personal memoirs along with the full text and audio of sessions.

Your transcripts will be part of a unique collection of previously unpublished transcripts of full text therapist-client sessions, edited to preserve anonymity. Users will find the transcripts of successful – and less successful – treatment sessions dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, and many other conditions.

The transcripts are all provided by practicing therapists and adhere to the American Psychological Association’s Ethics Guidelines for use and anonymity. Selection is under the direction of an editorial board of distinguished practitioners and academics.

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts is available online either through a one-time purchase of perpetual rights or by annual subscription. By using this database, researchers in fields as wide ranging as anthropology, linguistics, and English literature, as well as all areas of psychology, will be able to conduct studies that hitherto were impossible.
