The Video Journal of Counseling and Therapy
The Video Journal of Counseling and Therapy will be the definitive streaming video collection of the latest in research and best practice methods in the fields of counseling, mental health, and psychology. The collection will launch with over 1,000 hours of contemporary presentations, lectures, and workshops from renowned counselors, psychologists, and practitioners, and at least 350 hours of new content will be added yearly. Video licensors include CMI (the leading provider of mental health workshops in the U.S.), the Brief Therapy Conference, the Couples Conference, the Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference, the Erickson Congress, Columbia University’s Winter Roundtable of Cultural Psychology, the Australian Counselling Association, and others.
The collection features presentations from world-renowned researchers and clinicians, such as Donald Meichenbaum, John Gottman, Marsha Linehan, Deepak Chopra, Salvador Minuchin, Philip Zimbardo, Scott Miller, Russell Barkley, Judith Beck, Fred Leong, Anthony Marsella, Dan Siegel, Barry Duncan, Michael Yapko, John Norcross, Jon Kabat-Zinn, and Bessell Van der Kolk.
Topics covered include post-traumatic stress disorder, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, neuroscience and counseling, addictions, positive psychology, multiculturalism, ADHD, counseling men and boys, psychopharmacology, evidence-based treatment, suicide risk assessment, compassion fatigue, and family and couples therapy.
Much like traditional, text-based academic journals, The Video Journal of Counseling and Therapy will provide the most up-to-date content in counseling and psychology; presentations featuring studies, trends, techniques, and outcomes will be added to the collection the same year they occur. Students and professors can watch as if they were in attendance, without the cost of travel or conference fees.
